Roberta
McCall

President

Roberta McCall is a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT) who retired from the Michigan Bureau of Services for Blind Persons. She is one of the founding members of Care 2 Care. Throughout her career, she witnessed many individuals expressing that they wished their medical professionals had told them about a service like Care 2 Care Vision Services. Roberta supports the mission of Care 2 Care by helping bridge the gap between patients and the medical community to guide individuals toward independence and successful rehabilitation. 

Sharon Lotoczky

Vice President of Rehabilitation

Sharon Lotoczky brings her extensive experience as a social worker to this team supporting individuals adjusting to legal blindness. She values the opportunity to assist ophthalmologists in helping patients who are at the beginning of a life‑changing journey. Sharon provides support, information, and guidance to help patients sort through their options and move toward a confident and productive life. She also collaborates closely with other blind and visually impaired professionals to maintain strong connections with rehabilitation resources across Michigan and nationwide.  

Matthew
Trese, D.O., M.A.

Vice President,
Medical Advisor

Dr. Matthew Trese is a pediatric and adult retina specialist practicing in Royal Oak, Michigan. He cares for patients with complex vitreoretinal diseases and believes that high-quality eye care requires a multifaceted approach that includes medical treatment, research, advocacy, and vision rehabilitation. As a founding board member, he helped develop Care 2 Care to ensure that visually impaired individuals are connected to the rehabilitation services needed to achieve independence and personal goals. 

Charlene Gordon, M.A.

Director

Charlene Gordon is a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist and one of the co‑founders of Care 2 Care. She is committed to ensuring that Care 2 Care becomes a permanent part of blind rehabilitation. With over 30 years of experience, Charlene provides supportive counseling and information to individuals experiencing sight loss and leads a team dedicated to building bridges between the medical and rehabilitation communities.  

Michelle Visscher, M.A.

Team Educator/Trainer

Michelle has a double Masters in Vocational Rehabilitation Teaching and Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Michigan University.  She is one of the co-founders of Care 2 Care Vision Services and has over 30 years of experience working with people who are blind/visually impaired. Michelle was one of the vision rehabilitation specialists who helped to shape the services provided through the Older Blind Program at the SOM. She also worked as a vocational counselor in placing people in employment. Michelle has a passion for Care 2 Care because it closes the gap in services for people and they are no longer have to be sent home without support.
